O site “Kotaku” elencou os dez melhores jogos da última década de acordo com os sites “Game Rankings” e “Metacritic”, especializados em agregar críticas e notas de games publicados pela imprensa.

As relações trazem resultados previsíveis, mas não deixam de apresentar divergências e até bizarras surpresas. Nos últimos três anos, por exemplo, ambos os sites apontam “Uncharted 2″, “Grand Theft Auto IV” e “Super Mario Galaxy” como melhores games da temporada.

Contudo, pelo “Game Rankings” o principal game de 2006 é “Out of the Park Baseball 2007″, para PC, enquanto o Metacritic lista “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess”, para GameCube. Já o ano 2000 também conta com diferenças: o “Game Rankings” aponta
a versão para Game Boy Color de “Metal Gear Solid”, que conta uma história paralela do herói Solid Snake, enquanto o “Metacritic” fica com “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2″, do PSOne.
